Hedwig Bollhagen’s watering can, model number “766,” not only waters the flowers but also captivates with its simple, understated, and functional form. Its defining features include the bulbous, oval body with concave, inward-curving side walls that provide a secure grip, and the round opening between them for filling the can. The ceramic artist has omitted a handle. The long, straight spout harmoniously rounds out the design. With a diameter of eleven centimeters and a height of 14 centimeters, the 470-gram ceramic watering can is almost as tall as it is wide. One thing is certain: this timeless watering can is an eye-catcher on any windowsill, just like its little sister (HB 766A), which offers the same craftsmanship in a compact format.
