The footed bowl with the model number “605” has come to be regarded as one of the unsung classics from Hedwig Bollhagen’s ceramics workshop. This timelessly beautiful footed bowl was once a staple of everyday design in the former GDR. Today, this 360-gram footed bowl is being rediscovered by design enthusiasts. Its defining feature is the tall, slender, cylindrical foot. Deeper than a plate, flatter than a bowl, the bowl—with a diameter of 15 centimeters and a height of 12 centimeters—is almost as wide as it is tall. And with a volume of 0.2 liters, the ceramic footed bowl is one of the smaller, yet no less exquisite, pieces in the collection.
